Back at the Fisher's house after our spectacular week-long cruise, Luke was enjoying the new freedom and perspective that comes with walking. I could hardly keep up with him! One of the most prominent effects of Luke's decision to start walking was that he suddenly started to climb on top of everything! In a matter of seconds, he would climb from the floor to the piano bench, to the piano keys, to the music rack, to the top of the piano. I was such a climber as a kid (I used to climb out my window when I would wake up in the morning, using my spring horse and the flower pots outside, but at least I would announce, "I go outside now!") so I guess I had it coming to me.
One day in particular, I was doing something in the kitchen and I honestly didn't even have my back turned to Luke for a full minute, but somehow in that time, Luke managed to push his high chair about 5 feet over to the door, climb under the tray and onto the seat, and when I turned around, he was trying to turn the handle and open the door - probably so he could go outside and play with "his" tricycle. Is this not the stuff of Rugrats?!

Sorry for the terrible quality pictures. I had to act fast and take them with my webcam.
Apparently, Luke thought he could just step down from this height. I can't take my eyes off this boy for a second!
