Fisher Caribbean Cruise - Day 8 (Travel Day)

On Sunday morning, we all said goodbye to the our fabulous cruise ship and met our very prompt taxi driver from the beginning of the week. Jeff, Luke, and I were dropped off at the airport, while everyone else had a little time to kill before their flight.

In the airport, Luke showed off his skills as a gymnast ...

 Pommel Horse

Proud of his gold medal performance

Shortly before our plane was set to start boarding, the airport fire alarm went off. And it continued to blare through the speakers for a solid 30 minutes! Security started to herd everyone out of the terminal and the deli where Jeff was in line to get lunch closed it's gates. Eventually, they realized it was a false alarm, it was turned off, and we were able to board our plane. Thank goodness!

We later learned that we were one of the last flights, if not the LAST flight out of Puerto Rico before the airports closed down due to the arrival of Hurricane Irene. The rest of the Fishers were trapped in a hotel in Puerto Rico until Tuesday. At least it was a super fancy hotel.

I'm sure they played a lot of cards during their wait.
