When my absurdly adorable niece, Becca turned two, her momma, Caitlin, threw her a fun, low-key family party. Luke had a great time with his cousins and I think all of us enjoyed the cute and super scrumptious cake Caitlin made.
Balloons + a mattress = pure joy.
Becca cannot be bothered to pose for a picture when there's food in front of her. I will never understand where it all goes in that tiny body of hers!
The kids favorite part of the night had to be the water balloons (although I'm sure the cake was a close second)! ...
That was a BIG bowl, but it didn't last long!
Gone already?! We had to fill up more balloons for a second round after cake!
How cute is that cake?? And so simple to make! Pinterest. Caitlin's a fan. As am I. And speaking of cute, just look at the face on that girl!
Luke and I are both happy when there's cake.
Cute - that's what these two are.
We went out for water balloon war: round 2. The kids could hardly contain themselves, dying to get their hands on the balloons as soon as humanly possible.
Becca even dropped her favorite birthday gift in the grass in her rush. It looked a little like a crime scene.
Luke being assaulted, undoubtedly by his dad. And there's Caitlin's mom in the background. She's the sweetest. It was really nice meeting her and having her in town for a while.
A risky game of catch between Ben and Bethany.
Oh my goodness, these cousins! I just can't get enough!
Poor Becca felt very crowded playing with her new baby doll. She may be small, but she was ready to fight to keep it from being swiped!
Jeff and I had a fantastic time playing with the balloons. I made the poor guy recreate our cute and spontaneous kiss through a balloon for a picture despite his reluctance, and then I failed to get a decent picture! Sad.
Happy birthday to cute Becca!
