We were flying out to California in the wee hours of Christmas Eve morning, so our little family of three had "our Christmas" on the morning of the 23rd. We had to get Luke up an hour early so he could enjoy his new toys alone for a while before Bethany and Becca arrived and he had to share.
This truck was a gift to Luke from Jeff and I. Jeff did all of the hard work of putting it together. I just put on the stickers.
There were so many parts and they were multiplied by two because my parents bought Luke the matching "Cozy Coupe!"
Waayyyy more parts than we were expecting! And it took some muscle and a drill to get them all together! No wonder these cars last so many years!
All ready for "Christmas morning"
One of Luke's gifts from Santa. We added all of the cars he already had.
When I brought Luke downstairs the next morning. He was so excited to see his truck, but when he noticed the car, he was even more excited (and conflicted). He couldn't stand the fact that when he was in one car, the other was empty. He switched back and forth a zillion times and always wanted to have a hand on the empty car.
Santa filled Luke's stocking with lots of great little gifts!
An alligator hand puppet
A football
A magna-doodle (and a couple of toys cars and bubbles)
Christmas-y shaped pancakes for breakfast
Yum! Luke loooves syrup!
Jeff with his stocking stuffers - his favorite candies: chocolate covered raisins and Werthers, and some Santa and Frosty parachuters and a "Spin-a-Santa."
Jeff also got The Unit Season 4 on DVD and some *a-hem* lingerie from me. We each put half of our Christmas money toward a 5-day cruise to Mexico at the end of January! Of course that barely made a dent, but every little bit helps! Renita is going to babysit, so it's just us! We can't wait!
My stocking stuffers and gifts from Jeff
When the girls arrived, they were just as excited about the cars as Luke had been, especially Bethany. Luke was a good sharer.
Jeff let Bethany help him try out his parachuters.
With all of the exciting new toys, the kids spent lots of time in the playroom. Jeff is in time out.

Looks like you've been having lots of fun in Texas! Those cars are the best things EVER! I love how he kept his hand on the one he wasn't in!
I love that Luke is wearing one of Becca's sparkley shoes! He is so funny!
