The first of our three Christmases took place on the night of December 22nd, when, knowing that we would be in California Christmas day, Greg, Renita, Steven, and Kyle came over to exchange gifts. Once again, Greg and Renita got us the most thoughtful and generous gifts and we had a wonderful night enjoying some of them with them!
Luke was old enough to tear open his gifts this year.
The cutest footie pajamas from Grandma and Grandpa.
Some crazy, fun balls. Luke could see that there were a couple of smaller ones still inside the box and he insisted that Grandpa get them out right away.
Luke didn't really care about opening any more presents for a while after this.
Practicing for football.
The ball Luke is holding looks exactly like a dog toy. If it hadn't come in a box full of balls for toddlers, there would be no denying that that is exactly what it is!
Grandma and Grandpa got Luke the cutest, softest hand puppets!
Playing catch with Steven
Opening his giant car tracks/ramps
Jeff was really excited to get a panini press to make his turkey and cheese sandwiches (we keep it pretty simple around here). I didn't take a picture of Jeff with all of his gifts from his parents, but he also got work gloves, a level, a really nice drill, and a 3-hour discovery flight (take a short class and then fly a small plane). He may have gotten one or two other things, but I don't remember.
Excitedly opening my giant mound of gifts.
Steven helped Luke put together his car ramp.
Steven got Jeff and I a gift card to Color Me Mine. Hurray for a free date night!
What is it about empty boxes?
Kyle joined the ramp building process.
Jeff opening his birthday card from his parents, which came with a handy gift card to Lowe's.
Done!
Luke also got a cute little train set from "Bethany and Becca."
Me with all of my gifts, mostly fun and useful things for the kitchen and baking. They will be so fun to use!
My favorite gift! Renita called around for 4 hours to find me a trail ride (I love that woman)! I am beyond excited to use it!! (The scribbles are my Paint censorship skills. If you saw the numbers before I thought to black them out, please refrain from crank calling her or trying to sell her anything!)
