I found out recently that Luke is in a "club" at school where he and his friends build things for ants at recess. This is an interesting choice considering Texas ants are EVIL! They don't even have to be fire ants to bite like maniacs. But evidently Luke still takes pity on them because his job is to build the ant hospital where they put all the squished, injured, and presumed dead ants.
It is arguably a healthier pass time than his previous club: "Try to Figure out a Way to Get on Top of the School Building." It's probably for the best that he's moved on from that one. Although Jeff and I both had to admit we have memories of being in similar "clubs" in elementary school. Climbing onto roofs: a universal desire of kids everywhere!
