After the Primary scripture challenge party this morning,
Jeff threw our bikes in the back of the truck and we headed for Burroughs Park
for a little biking adventure.
Per usual, Blake was a little speed demon out front, giving
Luke a run for his money, while Jade took her time meandering and observing her
surroundings in the back of the line. (Except for that one time Blake adorably hung back to ride and chat with Jade for a while). McKenna loved sitting up high on the back
of my bike watching everyone else ride around her.
Luke's training wheels got tweaked a little so they weren't
quite on the ground. Jeff and I thought it would be a great opportunity for him
to practice balancing since the training wheels still caught him if he fell to
either side, but boy did Luke hate that idea. I think he's STILL a little
traumatized from the time he had a pretty big crash three years ago, so it was
like pulling teeth convincing him to practice. We'll see if those training
wheels are still on when he's ten!
The playground was pretty muddy from the rain over the past
couple of days, but we just dove right in, took our shoes off and and had a
great time! I LOVE warm, outdoorsy days in the middle of January! High-five
Texas!
The kids found a frog in that puddle!
