Our first boat outing of the year! It was a little chilly, but we were excited to be back out on the lake!
It was much colder and windier than we anticipated! Luke had second thoughts about his decision to swim.
And the warm clothes go back on.
SO windy! Check out those waves! It was gusting like crazy!
16 week twin belly!
For
whatever reason, a few ladybugs were attracted to the boat when we got
it out of the water to clean it at the end of the day. Luke made friends
with a couple of them. "I'm happy, Mom!"
"Be careful not scare her, Mom."
Trying to capture himself another ladybug friend.

Mmm kiwi! Luke was a fan!
Gotta love all of the $1 crafts and toys at Michael's. Luke was amazed by these growing sponge animals.
We also made a truck out of beads.

Luke and I went to the dollar store to replenish a few of the prizes in our primary/potty training prize box. While we were there, we grabbed a few candies and silly things for Jeff and made a surprise visit to his office to give him the goodies! It's always so fun to see him in the middle of the day! Neither of his can get enough of him!
Jeff took his lunch break to hang out with us. He and Luke ran and rolled down this grassy hill together. Luke thought it was hilarious!

Luke and I spent a day at the Houston Zoo together. He was just as excited about the train next to the zoo as he was about the zoo itself!
This giraffe mommy had to check out everyone standing by this fence because her baby was lying very nearby. Luke thought she just wanted to be friends with him.
Giraffe baby! So cute!
Luke LOVES jumping off of things!
Too distracted waiting for the sea lion show to start to give me a real smile.
Dancing sea lion! Adorable!

"Bubba, you're my friend." They walked all the way into the house like this! So sweet!
Jeff and I found some super nice free wood to commandeer while we were walking around a shopping center after our ice cream date at Baskin Robbins. Score!

Bethany's 5th (ice cream themed) Birthday Party
The birthday girl!
Back home that night, Jeff had ALL of the neighborhood crew chasing him around trying to get their hands on the soccer ball he was keeping away from them! It went on forever, until they were all exhausted!
Then, Bethany, Becca, and Luke played Pretty Pretty Princess. I was so excited to find this game at CAM (a Goodwill-esque thift store)! We used to play it all the time as kids, but it is now considered a collector's item and costs a fortune online. I found it used at CAM for $2! Score (again)!
Future blackmail ...?
March 10, 2013
I beat the Fishers at their own game! They play a game with Rook cards and they are all pretty amazing at it, but on this night, I kind of kicked butt! Muahahaha!
March 11, 2013
I told Luke that Daddy and I went on a date to an ice cream place called Baskin Robbins and I kind of wanted to go back again. He assured me he could go there on a date with me because he's big enough. So on an ice cream date we did go!
Luke has some freaky thumbs! They both bend wayyyy far back!
Jeff and Luke played a game of chicken. Luke lied on the bottom stair and Jeff threw a ball a few stairs up and they both laughed really hard waiting to see if it would hit Luke on it's way down.
Luke kind of cheated and just threw the ball right at Jeff on his turn! haha

Thomas the Train at the park.
Luke insisted on pulling this big wagon all by himself for a most of our walk home from the park.
March 14, 2013
Rainforest Cafe. We have taken Luke here twice and he STILL didn't like it the second time! He was already a little apprehensive about this giant moving crocodile outside, and when we were seated inside, he hated the thunder storms even more!
He tried braving it in his own seat holding onto Mommy, but ...
... it wasn't long before he ended up in Daddy's lap.
He had a lot more fun exploring the rest of the mall and watching the giant fish being fed in Bass Pro Shop. The feed was LIVE worms and fish! One of the fish got away from the man and flopped around by Luke's feet! Luke was fascinated! I was a little sad about the poor little fish trying desperately to escape!
Jeff fed Luke to a giant bass.

Wings and Wheels at the 1940's Air Terminal Museum
The theme this month was World War II planes and other vehicles. It was awesome! Luke loved every minute of it!
Our accidentally matching little family.
How realistic are these mannequins?? This guy tricked me out of the corner of my eye at least 5 times!
17.5 Weeks pregnant!
March 16, 2013
Jeff and Luke built a model car together. Luke loves spending time like this with his Daddy. Jeff loves it too. He already has plans to restore a REAL car with Luke when he gets older!
I had an empty Huggies box, so I made a little bean bag toss.
Facebook Post: "We are babysitting Bethany, Becca, and Baby
Greg tonight. Luke gave a pine cone, which he brought home from the
park, to Becca when she got here. A few minutes ago, she got mad and
threw it at him. Jeff told Becca she either needed to apologize to Luke
or go sit on the stairs for a couple of minutes, but before she could
make a decision, Luke walked over, PICKED HER UP, and sternly told her, 'You need to go to time out!' Bahaha! The poor girl is half his size!
You would never know she's a month older!"
This was also the night I got to have a wonderful long conversation with my dad about how he was called to the high council at church! So proud of him! He's not so sure he's the best guy for the job, but I know he is!
March 17, 2013
I bought two GIANT bottles of shaving cream from the dollar store and brought a shower curtain out into our back yard to make a slip-n-slide of sorts, thinking this would be the funnest activity ever! Boy was I wrong!
Luke liked it okay at first ...
But as my very neat and clean anti-mess boy got more and more covered, it was no longer a laughing matter.
He insisted on hosing off. I insisted he try the "slip n' slide" just once first. He refused and gave me some serious attitude in his distraught state. He ended up in time-out for being disrespectful to his momma - still covered in shaving cream and crying his little eyes out ...
It was really sad. I remember feeling the time-out was justified at the time, but these pictures are making me feel like a real meany! But don't worry, he didn't stay in time-out for long and I let him hose off and go inside. Then we had a talk about how it's okay for him to disagree with me on what is fun and I promised not to make him try that again.
Shaving cream covered pregnant belly! At least I had fun getting a couple of good runs on the "slip n' slide!"
And Luke had fun hosing it all clean! Ah, my little neat-freak.
March 19, 2013
St. Patrick's Day dinner .. two days late. I don't remember now why it wouldn't have worked on the actual day, but there was some kind of conflict, so we post-poned it a little. Luke didn't know the difference and was just as excited about it, even if it was a little late!
March 20, 2013
Luke loves to help Jeff pull weeds in our yard. So much so, that one day he started pulling weeds around the playground at the park! Only this wasn't a weed! It was a tree! And it was growing right through the wood chips by the slide. Luke was fascinated as I explained what he had found and how things grow. I love this kid's love for learning!
March 21, 2013
Luke got a big boy bed! He was feeling a little sick this night, but that didn't stop him from being excited about his new bed! And the bed is the top half of a bunk bed that has a full size bed on bottom, so now we have a full size bed in our guest room for when Grandma Lamb and anyone else comes to visit!
March 22, 2013
Since Luke was feeling a little under-the-weather, we spent the day doing indoor activities, like making a model of his model car (the one he and Jeff made together) out of a cardboard box and construction paper.
Jeff helped us attach the steering wheel with a screw when he got home so it spins nicely.
Luke sat by the door and announced all of the places he was driving to.
March 23, 2013 - March 30, 2013
My momma came out to visit for a whole week for her Spring Break! We are always so excited to have her! And her visit just so happened to correspond with the twins' 19 week ultrasound and gender reveal! Mom and Luke came to the ultrasound, which was very long and thorough, and showed two very healthy babies! I closed my eyes and plugged my ears during the gender reveal part so only my mom would know and I would find out at the same time as Jeff that night! Mom did a great job keeping the secret and even made me question my long-standing boy/girl prediction so much that I changed it to boy/boy at the last minute! Luke however, never wavered from his confident, "It's one boy and one girl!" And he was right! Mom secretly frosted two cakes, which Jeff and I cut into in front of her, Luke, Greg, Renita, Ben, Caitlin, Bethany, Becca, Greg, and my dad (via skype). We were so excited to get a boy and a girl - exactly what we were hoping for!

Baby Boy! He looks just like Luke/Jeff - same nose!
Baby Girl! She has my nose!
Baby boy's feet.
Baby girl's foot. She wouldn't stop moving for the entire ultrasound! While the ultrasound tech had to work really hard just to convince baby boy to move! He was having a lazy day! Both babies were actually quite active for the entire pregnancy!
Baby boy's big puppy hand!
Cute baby Greg!
Grandma played a LOT of cars throughout the week! Luke was thrilled!
She also read a lot of bedtime stories. Luke was one happy boy.
A day at the zoo!
This boy astounded all of his with his bottom-less pit of a stomach all day long! Growing again?! He never stops!
"Now your turn, Daddy!"
Look at that cute little heart-shaped nose!
Some people were feeding the koi fish and this orangutan really wanted some!
This kid's going to be doing pull-ups before we know it! So strong!
Trying to lift Daddy with his big muscles!
Can't get enough of Grandma!
Grandma Lamb bought the twins tons of CUTE clothes!
Playing in the sandbox at Clay's Restaurant.
GIANT portions for cheap! And it was tasty too!
THREE chicken breasts in one sandwich!
Feeding the sweet pony his parsley.
Mom left the day before Easter and left Jeff and I a sweet note and a money egg each. Jeff was most pleased!
I left mom a card, Peeps (her favorite Easter candy), and a little magnetic picture frame with pictures as a feeble thank you for all the spoiling she did all week! She is way too good to us!

Annual Easter Festivities at Good Shepherd church
Luke got right in there with all the other kids climbing all over each other on these ladders!
Head first is his favorite way to slide!
Luke was SO excited to meet the Easter bunny for the second year in a row!
Waiting to hear "Go!"
Jeff psyched Luke up so much that when it was time to start and Jeff yelled, "Go, Luke, go! Go!" Luke just took off running, juking everyone .. and not picking up a single egg. Jeff and I could barely breathe we were laughing so hard! Of course, after the initial confusion, Luke remembered what he was actually supposed to be doing.
We went straight from Good Shepherd to Luke's friend Isaac's 5th birthday party. It was the COOLEST astronaut party! The kids had a blast!
Luke collected a zillion "moon rocks" with his giant hands! Jeff and I were amazed by how many he collected in both hands without putting any in his bag!
Becca and Luke were inseparable for the entire party! It was adorable! Here they are decorating their own UFO's together.
They launched two rockets!
And Jeff retrieved them on a very manly scooter.
Luke does NOT like loud noises! He didn't trust those rockets!
Cuties!
Jeff had to trudge through a muddy field to get the second rocket!
The birthday boy!
Bethany!
The goodie bag was full of all kinds of great stuff! Luke was most excited about the little rubber space shuttle and took it with him to bed for his nap after the party. Look at all those "moon rocks!" Can you believe Luke fit all of those in his hands?!

Easter
I made a scavenger hunt for Luke to find his Easter basket in the morning. He loved finding pictures of things in our house and going to that thing, only to find another picture of another item in our house. Eventually it led him to his basket.
He also got to do a quick indoor Easter Egg hunt for one. We did another one later with Bethany and Becca when we went to Ben and Caitlin's for dinner that night.
